But why? Why supercharger can be installed only on vintage cars and V8s? And why instead of a turbo?
There's a lot of examples of turbo V8 engines. And a lot of examples of line-4 supercharged engines. If superchargers are gonna be added, then it would make sense to add them as a new perfomance part, not instead of turbos. Replacing them in Vintage class would have logic though, but only if engine is not gonna be tuned, cause if so, enginge will produce a lot of RPM and this whole supercharger-replacement will make no sense.

Damn.. You're going way to much into details.
The whole point of that suggestions is to make it more similiar to the NFS games and not super realistic.
It is a fact that NFS:MW and NFS:Carbon had compressor upgrades instead of a Turbo, for some cars.
If you wan't to talk about what's realistic and what's not, we can get way deeper than this.
