Style points

I have a proposition to add something like Style points known from NFS:UG1.


You will get points from races, for example: in a circuit you get x number of points, they will sum up in the garage, the  points will start from zero in the next race. This is a simplified style point system, let me explain that.

You will get points from:
- breaking lamps and other things : 2 points per 1 lamp
- drifts/powerslides (if longer you will get more points)
- air time (if longer you will get more points)
- speed (150 gives 20 points, 200 gives 30 points, and so on)
- positions (1st position at the end gives you 50 points, 2nd gives 25 points and so on)
- overtaking position: 10 points

You can lose points from:
- hitting a wall: -5 points (more than 60km/h)
- lost position: -5 points

If you will get something like 304 points, you will get 1/4 of that number as $ and rp.

And the limit of those points will be on 1000 points per race.

There will be 6 new tasks:
- Stylish rider (lvl 1) get 200 points in a single race
- Stylish rider (lvl 2) get 600 points in a single race
- Stylish rider (lvl 3) get 1000 points in a single race

- Style gainer (lvl 1) collect at all 20.000 style points
- Style gainer (lvl 2) collect at all 150.000 style points
- Style gainer (lvl 3) collect at all 500.000 style points

Tell me what do you think about this and tell what you want to add to this proposition or remove. I think it would be a cool addition to the server.

In UG1, style points gave you special cars... So, I'd like that.

I think we don't need this, it will change normal race into "dancing" event [trying to drift everywere], and we already have airtime in tasks.

You can't really drift in normal races, though... Only with very specific cars, I guess.
I'm really all just for the prizes.

The idea isn't bad. I like it.
But instead getting money for these style points, you should rather be able to exchange the style points into body- and vinylpoints.

Similar to RP, you would have Total Style-Points, and Free Style-Points. Not sure which amount should give how much points to exchange.

I don't think it's good idea. We need more important things on server. For example Challenges series.

plus one dude can just keep smashing a pole and then respawns after getting away for few seconds, then hit it, then go again...

or just go arround rampaging lamp posts...on my view, style points should be earned by powersliding, your finish position, the difficult of the race (based on the experience of adversaries) and if you beat any record
