Sorry, but even in motorsports, skill isn't only measured in driving skill, it's measured in car tuning as well.
Miguel Oliveira got so ahead in Moto2 not only because of his driving skill but also because he takes an huge part in tuning the bike to his riding style, to the most nitpicky detail.
A "worst driver" getting ahead of you for having a better dyno isn't injustice at all, it's a warning that your own dyno needs improvements and that you can do much better if you put the time and work in.
And you seen the effects of this when Rossi went to the Ducati team. One of the best pilots in MotoGP just couldn't stay ahead because his bike wasn't tuned for his driving style.
Does that mean that all MotoGP bikes should be the same? No, but that's what you're asking here.
And this is coming from someone who almost always gets DNF in URL for being too much behind, and yet fully admits it's his own fault. The only thing I'd change regarding this issue is making URL have less laps so DNF happens less often.
