As the former holder of the top times on drags, I can assure you that Old Bridge Tops are the easiest ones, and when I was hunting the map, no exploits where necessary to achieve such times, appart from the low fps boost at start(which can be achieved naturally on bad pc's because this map is laggy as fuck, specially with 4 players on the lobby), so yeah, Old Bridge tops can be set "legitimately" with not a lot of effort other than luck(which is basically what drag is about)..

Definitely trustable info coming from trustable person.

Buuuuut, even if it's true that your pc can't handle the game at more than 30 fps, you wouldn't be able to beat tops on drag, even on a short track like old bridge, you would gain time with low fps at the start but would lose time on the rest of the track(assuming your fps would still be at 30's), so yeah, you would need the obvious boost low fps give on start and smooth 60 fps on the rest of the track, that's how most tops are set on drag.

Periodic bad FPS can also be achieved naturally, you start with 30 FPS at start because there are opponent cars nearby and crowds is also quite performance demanding. But as the race goes the crowds will then despawn, you made it out of effective range of opponent cars rendering range and you get smoother gameplay.

And yes, tops on drags is a meme, they have been retarded since the early days of this server's life, this mode is shit and you only set tops on it if you wanna meme on the staff that quote "don't take top times seriously", and don't do shit to stop these kind of bullshit of happening in the server, nor do anything to dismotivate the abuse of exploits, because banning one or another is clearly doing wonders.
And of course not counting the players that can exploit as much as they want and the staff don't give a shit.

If you feel like you have a good and possible solution then spit it out. Me myself had been pushing devs at some point when they refuse to work on balance, and only stands strong to the weak argument "this game/arcade can't be competitive" which all i can say, not entirely true. Trackmania is one of the most competitive driving based game for something very far from real. They also claim that game quirks (such as this FPS bulshittery) holds this game to be more competitive, and i refuse to accept that because even when everyone has same playing condition, one car is still better than the other, without game quirks involved.

That was totally different sibject, but man, i can't really do or find good reason to make me do the same in exploit property. Because there are currently simply NO feasible solution or ideas present. Remaking SA in 64 bit (or idk maybe a more reliable physics calculation engine) would be one but good luck with that because it will take very long and apparently taketwo is also against and willing to take down these kind of project.

The way the staff handles this topic is fucking horrendous.

Needless to say, the way you handled it by joining the exploiting scene explicitly and throwing away your credibility as a moderator is not a bright idea neither.
