Decreasing confusion for new players, so they dont ragequit the server after 1 minute

Well... Although, yes, player retention is something that does need to have some thought put in it, I think that a player that ragequits at the first race wouldn't be playing the game for long anyway, so, it's not really that much of a loss. I don't think that's that much of an issue and solving that problem will only help retention in a low percentage. Most players will stay longer playing the first day, but they'd leave somewhere within the same week, but in the middle of those, I guess there'd be some rare exceptions...
Also, this server ain't really targeted at new players, it's targeted at a fandom, so, players that are part of that fandom will indeed make an effort to overcome any initial issue there might be, while a random player not part of that fandom will not. Do you really need to keep that kind of players, or, AKA cannon fodder for quick races that will leave anyway within a week?
I think that advertising is what we need. Most classic NFS players aren't aware of the existence of this server, and that's the kind of players that will stay. Whitey's videos, while not being the best thing out there, have been taking a huge role in this, as me and many others came to know this server solely through those videos, so what we need is more advertising similar to that.

Ye, if we would somehow got one of those videos on front page of some NFS subreddit, or to get some popular youtuber to play this server, it would be nice.

Edit: Every time I play, I stream it on twitch, but so far managed to get only 450 unique views, which is nothing, compared to exposure it would get if someone famous.

In the past, I did that kind of videos for Robocraft (back when it was only at its 1st and 2nd years), and it did help, even if also at a low percentage since I don't have much of a following, however, looking at the smaller scale of NFSSA, it'd give us a huge boost if those videos got that same kind of success, similarly to Whitey's. But to help retention after that, the developers would have to show some activity, or else people are gonna think this is a dead server or something.
I won't be back to the Youtube biz anytime soon, though. It's a stressful game that doesn't reward you, and not so recent changes made to Youtube killed that game for the smaller individual Youtubers.

But what new player will do on Nfssa server when only 20% of players do races, If newbie will enter server and see how hard is to find race, he will leave. Additionally, when this newbie will lose some first races and see how small amount of rp/money he get... Even beginner bonus won't help... I don't need to talk anything more

I guess there should be a paid parking zone nearby Doherty to encourage people to racing. Want to waste your time at Lagherty? PAY! xD

What about a little Campaign mode to serve both as tutorial and to level up a newbie's car so it's competitive with the existing players?
A maxed E class is enough to "be in the game". It's competitive enough and there's more players driving them.

Great idea that, but yet again - server got stuck in a standstill unfortunately...ideas are nothing without any determination of devs. To be honest we all should stop moaning about new features like new cars or car parts and focus on encouraging new players to stay here for a while with features we already have here. There are plenty of possibilities to spend enjoyable moments here in game but it is certainly a pain in arse at the beginning to make a car competetive and to adapt to server's interface which can be a bit complicated at first sight for newbies. Finally, to sum up - Matthew is talking so much with sense and I'm totally backing what he's talking about. When new player is good enough, then he should have an opportunity to improve his Manana (xD) quicker thanks to some challenges.

I know the devs gotta code for that idea and stuff, but, I mean, come on. It's either a last stretch of effort to make a bad situation workable, or, it's lose what you got. Years of a great, awesome work virtually "lost" (in a non-literal sense) like that is just a shame.
It doesn't even have to be an advanced campaign, it can be simple challenges, even Tofu delivery is good at this point! Just something to "ease the pain" at the start of a new career. Taxi missions, whatever! It's things that are even already there in the main game and can be even used as an "excuse" or a little plot-line as to "why or how you become a racer" with some vague clever writing. Like in NFSU, I guess.

Actually, thinking further into that, the way I'd roughly do it maybe is to simply have a button in the menu labeled "Beginner's Campaign". Then, when you'd press that, a menu kinda like GranTurismo's driving school would come up (just much less complicate looking, lol) and we'd have various tabs like "Introduction to Drag Race", for example, with a little text above when you pressed it like "This is a small introduction to drag races, bla bla bla, you shift up and down pressing these keys, try to hit the green RPM thingy, bla bla bla, have fun. Reward for completing this task: 1000RP, 500$, 1 Bodypoint". Then, you'd be transported to a random drag strip and raced to a timer, or an obviously too slow AI car if the devs decide to include that.
Do a bunch of those for each category, explain some other things for rewards, some menu related things included, best ways to level up the car and get money and bam. In an easy intuitive way a new player has a solid idea of what's going on and already has a competitive car to start with.
Lots of "copy and paste" coding work too, because it's always the same thing, so, that's a plus.
Whatcha think of that?
