Both ideas are good, and to those who didn't understood how it could be useful since we already can assign a setup to each kind of race, it is because there are diferent tracks of the same kind....example, there are circuits which you would need a careful cornering and good accel. to recover after tight corners but also, there are circuits that you can reach your car speed limit easily so it's worth sacrificing accel. for some top speed and ditching off a cornering setup in exchange of a setup which will give you stability at high speeds..
