Dyno Tuning has finally appeared on NFS:SA!

Dyno Tuning allows you to adjust:
  • Drivetrain
  • Tire pressure
  • Brake bias
  • Suspension stiffness
  • Suspension bias
  • Steering angle
  • Ride height
  • Center of mass
  • Downforce
In performance shop you can make dyno setups and assign them for each race mode separately. You can have unlimited amount of dyno setups, but every next setup costs $1,000 where everyone has 1 free setup per car. Premium users have 3 free setups per car.

Every setting requires to have some performance upgrades installed. If this upgrade is higher level (Street/Race/Pro) then effect of setting will be stronger.

Dyno Tuning also contains test mode on URL Bayview Speedway track.

Also, now while changing performance parts you don't have to rebuy them every time - now they will save and next time you can install them for free. Remember that this happens only for performance parts and bought parts don't share between cars - even if you have 2 mananas, parts bought on first won't be available on second car. If you sell your car, you will have to buy the parts again.

Score system changes

Yes, again. In last update we introduced dynamic score but we realised it was fail - scores were changing too often and get bugged too often. We decided to come back to old static score system with some improvements.

URL system changes
  • Increased rewards - mostly money
  • Increased rewards from custom events - up to x3.0
  • Now even last player receives points and reward
  • Slightly improved lobby matching system
  • Added auto-lockout for rejoining rooms too often
  • Added reminders about incoming custom URL events
New cars - Club and Kuruma + Buggy change

Yes! Two new cars!

Club is a regular FWD car which belongs to D class.
Kuruma is AWD and it's a new D class unique car. Kuruma replaces Buggy and you have to find parts for it. Players who already started searching Buggy parts or have already unlocked it will have it reseted and will have to search for parts again, but for Kuruma as it's new unique.

What about Buggy then?

Buggy got totally changed - it belongs now to SUV class and has it's handing and stats, but to unlock Buggy you have to finish task Off-Road Champion Level 3 - Win 60 Off-Road races - just like with Locust 69 which is a reward by winning URL tournaments.

Players who didn't unlock Buggy yet but got this task finished, will have it unlocked after update.

B Class Tuning Update
  • All B cars except Mamba got full tuning update with secondary bodykits.
  • Jester is first car on server which got 2 new bodykits and has 3 in total!

Optimization - NFS:SA Booster

This update provides some optimization and memory usage improvements and tweaks.
The most important thing is NFS:SA Booster - external Windows application to increase performance and quality while playing on NFS:SA server!

NFS:SA Booster is already supported by server and you can try it now without waiting for update.

Changes in URL system
  • Because problem infinite loading screens while joining URL has been solved, we turned back on URL bans but with little changes: 24h for connection lost, 48h for normal leave and no URL ban for IRC / kick / bugged loading screen (rare)
  • Added limit - max 2 tournaments per event
  • Improved matching system - now players will be matched slower, but it will be based now on general skill with URL instead of "who first" rule. It means that there will be low chance to match up newbie with very good player unless there aren't enough players in lobby

Score system and handlings

Score system has been changed a bit. It should be now much more accurate than before and performance test less bugged.
  • Changed amount of score gained by upgrading parts like engine, tires or suspension
  • Changed score range (min-max) for every class and car
Major handling changes for:
  • Futo
  • Buffalo
  • A-Type
  • Blista Compact
  • Flash
  • Euros
  • ZR-130
  • Mamba
  • Turismo
  • Counthash
Because Futo and Buffalo handling changes are serious, there also changes characteristic of their toptimes and records. Due to that, all Futo and Buffalo records have been disabled. It means that in-game those records won't be visible and will have to be done again, but you can still check them on website as archive records by selecting proper option here: https://www.nfssa.com/racestats.php?week=topofalltimes

Other changes
  • New rankingboard's algorithm - now it should shows proper position all the time
  • Disabled collision of torches at start lines on maps
  • Minor fixes and improvements

  Update 10-11.08.2017 - Underground Racing League

Underground Racing League

URL - New type of tournament-based race, which is a bit different than casual races. First of all, URL can be up to 12 players in a single race. Second of all, URL races can be played only at specifed time, when an URL Event is active.

How does it work then?

To join URL you have to travel to the stadium in your city (LS, SF or LV) in Freerun mode. There you can watch for incoming events and join active event.
Everyday there are 4 default URL events every 6 hours - at 2:00, 8:00, 14:00 and 20:00 server time. Each event always lasts 1 hour and only during this time you can join event. Administration have access to edit and create own events with different settings and at any time.

In every event you have to choose one of available rooms which are separated by car score.
After choosing event and room, you're moved to the automatic lobby where you have to wait for players.
To start URL tournament there must be at least 6 players in room. When tournament is found, players at first vote for maps and their directions. After that 3 races in a row finally start.
Because this is tournament, you don't need to win every race to win tournament because it depends on total points gained from races.

Different Locations

For URL races there are used special, exclusive locations and maps. Since this update at the begin only one location - Bayview Speedway - will be available
Second location - Los Santos International Airport - will be added in few weeks.
In future we will consider adding more URL locations.

Other info about URL Events
  • Lobby size - can be 8, 10 or 12 players. Default URL events are always up to 8 players in tournament. Only admins while creating custom events can enable 12-players mode.
  • Total distance (in km) - amount of laps in tournament races is calculated according to total distance. For default events it's always 40 km.
  • Additional rules - admins while creating events can allow only certain classes or cars so expect in future events like C Class Race or Infernus Race.

Leaving URL Tournaments - strictly forbidden (URL Bans)!

Because tournaments are important, leaving them is strictly forbidden. By leaving tournament player automatically gets URL Ban and won't be able to join any URL event for next 48 hours. And no matter it was normal leave or lost internet connection - next time player has to make sure he has enough time and stable connection.
Also, because of this strict rule, final rewards won't be decreased because of left players - rewards depend on total points.

Due to obvious reasons URL ban is disabled for administration.

New car - Locust 69

Locust 69 was planned as a conversion kit for A-Type but because of it's complexity we decided to release it as new unique car which performance and stats belong to A class.
To unlock Locust 69 you have to complete task URL Champion (LEVEL 3) - Win 50 URL Tournaments.

  • Now you can change between normal handling and drift handling in freerun mode by pressing RMB and clicking on your car
  • Added showing GPS track on radar map
  • Added option to disable GPS arrow above car
  • Added possibility to save paintjobs in paint shop using vinylpoints. Normal players can save up to 2 paintjobs for each model of car (e.g. 2 bullets share same saved paintjobs), premium players up to 5
  • Added possibility to set car score limit in custom race lobby (thanks Quindo)
  • Car score is now displayed in garage menu
  • Changed possible range of far clip distance to 1000

At the begin we want to inform that our modeler, Balcer, has been replaced by Arunn and we want to welcome new NFSSA Team member - KomuH, who will be now responsible for car handlings and balance!
Also, Quindo has become our second scripter and this update has been prepared with good cooperation!

Main Changes

Most of gamemode has been rewriten to new, clean, OOP-based and optimized code which will facialize a lot future updates and improvements.
Duel system has been totally rewritten with new one, bugless system! Also, now during duel there is disabled collision between opponents and other players in freerun mode.

Because of some changes in file structure, this update weights more than usually (estimated download size is 150 MB)

Better Optimization
  • Car tuning streaming has been replaced with own system. Loading many cars will still slow down a bit your PC but spikes and freezes shouldn't exist
  • Added option in video settings to set vinyls quality. It is very good facility for players with weaker PC or with low amount of VRAM
  • Added option to use static cars on maps, what will fix issue with very low FPS on some specific maps (you have to enable it in settings)
  • Added option in video settings to set vehicle LOD distance

New Ranking System

Till now ranking system was based on weeks. Now it's again totally changed. Now we have two main rankings:
  • Current Week
  • Top of All Time
Each of them is separated into each car class, so now will be different toptimes for each class like B,C or Vintage.
Toptimes of current week still we be reseted every weekend, but now there will be rewards for having toptimes of the week!
How it works? You can have up to 7 toptimes on each map (because of 7 car classes). To get reward you must hold at least 2 toptimes at the end of week. More toptimes means higher reward, but limit is up to 50 toptimes - more toptimes won't count so give chance to others.

How to calculate your reward:

Quote:x - amount of toptimes (from 2 to 50)
money = x * 150
rp = x * 50
bodypoints = 1 if x = 20+ and 2 if x = 50
vinylpoints = 1 if x = 30+ and 2 if x = 50

  • Ranking panel on forum will be updated too during server update
  • Also added new MapInfo with detailed stats at the begin of race
  • No stats will be reseted. Current ranking will be converted to new one

Tuning Update Part II
  • D class received full new tuning and secondary bodykits
  • B class received roof options, sidewindows option and new spoilers from tuning update. New bumpers, hoods and secondary bodykits still have to wait.
  • New body tuning part - sidewindows. For now available only for E,D,B and A class
  • 1 new 5zigen rims
  • 1 new BBS rims
  • 1 new Konig rims
  • New rims brand - WORK (4 new rims, 1 taskpoint is requried to unlock it)

Yes! First muscle car finally available on server! Buffalo belongs to B class and have full new tuning.

Police System
  • Fixed and blocked glitched areas
  • Disallowed speedbreaker while beginning animation
  • During pursuit player has now lamp breaker known from races
  • Improved police AI pathfinding
  • More stable AI driving
  • Changed speeds of busted and evaded bars
  • Now you can rebind speedbreaker in settings
  • Now SUVs will run away after finished job (only at level 3 and 4, at 5 and 6 they will still stay)
  • "PIT" tactic (since level 2)
  • "Group blocking" tactic (simple blocking at level 1 and 2, more advanced at 3+)
  • "Lamp breaker" tactic (for cops, since level 4)
  • Problem with alone peds and destroyed police cars should be eliminated
  • You can now mute special pursuit soundtrack by using F4
  • Minor fixes and improvements

Vinyls Update
  • 27 new vinyl items to unlock (including 2 new "gold" vinyls)
  • Added some new vinyls to already unlocked categories like Flames, Tears, Modern, Manufacturer and Shapes
  • New vinyl category - camouflage
  • Changed "Most Wanted M3" vinyl set to be "gold" for new players
  • Text vinyls from Police set are now colorable

Freerun Money

Now each day you can collect money in freerun mode. Every day in each city and countryside some amount of money is spawned for each player separately. First collected money give you $100 and every next is higher by $10. It resets everyday.

  • Improved "Car Performance Testing" and problem with 3-gears bug has been fixed
  • Time calculation for Time-Trials is now based on whole ranking, so you no more have to drive specific map at least once and you will always get fair time for your car
